Perkins Coie Represents Hopoo Games in Sale of Risk of Rain Franchise to Gearbox Entertainment

SEATTLE (December 13, 2022)—Perkins Coie is pleased to have represented Hopoo Games LLC in its sale of the "Risk of Rain" video game franchise to The Gearbox Entertainment Company, Inc. For more information, please see Hopoo Games' announcement here.

Hopoo Games is an independent video game developer and the original creator of the "Risk of Rain" franchise.

The Perkins Coie team that advised Hopoo Games is led by partners Kirk Soderquist and Eric DeJong, counsels Michelle Han and Steve Merriman, and associates Christopher Wieman, Numaan Deen, Jennifer Huseby, and Alexander Pascualy. Other members of the deal team included tax partner Bryan Smith, partner Jamie Schafer, and associate Kristi Lee.
