Jacob Taber

Jacob represents and advises institutional and individual clients in complex civil litigations, regulatory and white collar proceedings, and internal investigations.

Jacob Taber 's clients have included hedge funds, global banks and their employees, and publicly traded companies both in America and abroad. Jacob has represented these clients in state and federal court and in investigations before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

Jacob has a strong commitment to pro bono practice and has represented a Louisiana inmate seeking to overturn his conviction by a non-unanimous jury; a national anti-gun violence non-profit as amicus curiae in support of an Administrative Procedure Act (APA) challenge to regulations concerning the sale of ghost guns; individuals and nonprofits challenging a Mississippi anti-LGBT statute; a formerly incarcerated individual claiming deliberate indifference to his serious medical need, resulting in a favorable settlement; and several victims of domestic violence in divorce proceedings in New York State Supreme Court.

Jacob clerked for the Hon. Henry F. Floyd of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. While in law school, Jacob was an executive editor of the New York University Law Review and interned for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
