Riley W. Zoch

Riley is an associate in the firm’s Patent Litigation practice.

Before joining Perkins Coie, Riley Zoch served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, where he observed numerous judicial proceedings, including Markman hearings, pretrial conferences, jury trials, and bench trials. Prior to his clerkship, Riley was a lawyer in the general litigation practice group of a law firm in downtown Austin.

Riley graduated in the top of his class from Baylor Law School, serving as a technical editor and as the administrative editor of the Baylor Law Review. He also co-founded and served as the vice president of PALS (Parents Attending Law School). In addition, Riley participated in several mock trials, including the Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition in Puerto Rico and Baylor Law's Mad Dog Mock Trial Competition, and earned awards in Baylor Law's Ultimate Writer Competition all three years of law school.

Before law school, Riley taught mathematics, robotics, and technology classes for five years in an Austin-area private school.
