Daniel is a partner in the firm's Federal Tax practice and coordinates the firm’s strategic initiatives as the AI innovation partner.

Daniel Sito has experience advising private equity, venture capital, public and privately-held company and pension fund clients on the tax aspects of complex business transactions. He focuses on investment fund formations, domestic and cross-border M&A deals, leveraged buyouts, debt and equity issuances, and restructurings.

As the firm’s AI innovation partner, Daniel collaborates with the Knowledge and Innovation team to strengthen Perkins Coie’s AI capabilities and enhance leadership throughout the firm’s practices and client teams. He coordinates and supports the firm’s ongoing efforts to identify strategic opportunities for AI integration across practice areas and to cultivate a collaborative environment where lawyers are empowered to share insights and equipped to explore the potential of generative AI technologies within the legal industry.

Daniel has served as the chair of the Transactional Tax Committee of the Washington State Bar Association’s (WSBA) Taxation Section and has led numerous presentations on federal income tax topics for Practising Law Institute, the WSBA, the Seattle Tax Group, and others. He has taught partnership taxation as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Washington School of Law.
