Perkins Coie White Collar and Litigation Lawyers to Host Virtual Session on DOJ’s New Whistleblower and Self-Disclosure Programs

WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 15, 2024)—A leading group of Perkins Coie white collar and litigation lawyers, including Shari Brandt, Chelsea Curfman, Angie Jones, and Nikhila Raj, will host a virtual presentation and discussion panel on Thursday, July 18, addressing the impact of the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) new Pilot Program on Voluntary Self-Disclosure for Individuals and anticipated Whistleblower Rewards Program.

The Justice Department’s Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco announced the new initiatives in early March to supplement existing DOJ programs that already target corporate and financial misconduct. Monaco highlighted that they would create new incentives for individuals to report business misconduct and drive companies to invest further in effective compliance and reporting procedures.

Perkins Coie’s virtual event for corporate general counsels, compliance officers, and in-house legal and compliance departments will provide insights and guidance to companies navigating these new DOJ programs, including how they will affect compliance programs, investigative functions, and self-disclosure. Registration for the event on Thursday, July 18, at 1:00-2:00 pm ET is available via this link.

This is the third installment of the firm’s monthly webinar series, The Compliance Collective.  The presentations and discussions address critical compliance and ethics issues faced by international and domestic companies.
