Bill Malley and Genhi Givings Bailey Quoted in Law.com—Perkins Coie's IP and Corporate Tech Clients Pushed the Firm to Double-Digit Growth
Bill Malley and Genhi Givings Bailey were quoted in "Perkins Coie's IP and Corporate Tech Clients Pushed the Firm to Double-Digit Growth," an article in Law.com, regarding Perkins Coie's growth last year despite the departure of political practice group attorneys.
"We're very proud of that success. We think that reflects sustained and sustainable growth and continued investment of our people in key geographic markets," Bill Malley said.
"That group's revenues, while not a large fraction of the firm's revenue as a whole, was material," Bill said. But he noted that, despite the loss of its elections practice, the firm saw tremendous growth, a sign of the "breadth and strength" of the rest of the firm's practices.
"We have been very intentional in our efforts to look at how we are onboarding people, especially in this virtual environment, and what kind of opportunities they have once they get to the firm," Genhi said. "What we offer our people is much greater than it may have been historically because those lines are a bit blurred between personal and professional. [We're] happy to provide more resources to support their lives in general."
"We see that the momentum from 2021 will go throughout 2022," Bill said.
