The State of Merger Enforcement

Antitrust Webinar Series

The State of Merger Enforcement

ice, frozen water, environment (antitrust and unfair)

As antitrust law continues to be a hot-button political issue, antitrust merger enforcement is rapidly evolving.

Six months into the Trump administration, we've seen its first merger challenges but also an openness to the settlements the Biden administration disfavored. State enforcers are also increasingly signaling a desire to investigate and challenge mergers with two states, Washington and Colorado, enacting pre-merger notification laws. What will the next six months of enforcement look like? What does all this mean for businesses and how can you prepare for potential merger investigations?

Come join Perkins Coie's team of experienced antitrust lawyers and former enforcers, who will discuss the Trump administration’s merger enforcement actions and policy statements, analyze recently enacted state pre-merger notification laws, and assess other issues that may impact mergers and acquisitions.
