Stephanie provides regulatory and transactional counsel in support of her clients' global space, media, and communications ventures.
Stephanie Roy advises both established and emerging satellite services players, global internet platforms, domestic and foreign media and telecom companies, and global computing and telecom infrastructure providers. With a technical background in applied physics and science and technology policy, Stephanie focuses on aerospace, satellite, and space policy.
Stephanie focuses on bringing together the firm's knowledge across practices for the benefit of newspace industry clients. Stephanie regularly advocates for her clients at the Federal Communications Commission and other federal agencies. She has helped her clients shape their regulatory environment and obtain key licenses and authorizations, including satellite, earth station, and remote sensing licenses. She also routinely works with foreign counsel to help her clients navigate local regulatory requirements affecting their global product and service launches.
Stephanie assists clients in negotiating key commercial agreements, including those related to satellite manufacturing, launch services, supply chain procurement, and government contracting. She advises them on structuring options for strategic partnerships and helps finalize those arrangements through joint venture agreements, strategic partnership agreements, and similar vehicles.
