Sarah Bowman has significant experience advising individuals and families on a broad range of estate planning and trust structures. Sarah’s practice spans family wealth transfer planning, tax planning, business and entity succession planning, asset strategy protection, privacy planning, and charitable giving. She skillfully addresses multifaceted legal complexities to help clients achieve their personal goals.
Sarah also frequently guides high-earning clients and families in the establishment and management of family offices, often involving complex family, trust, philanthropic, and investment arrangements. Sarah works with owners of growing businesses to assist with estate, tax, and wealth transfer plans, providing a long-term strategy to effectively meet personal and business planning goals.
Additionally, Sarah's experience extends to trust and estate administration, encompassing both probate and non-probate procedures, as well as litigation in estate and trust matters. Her counsel is sought by beneficiaries, individual fiduciaries, and professional fiduciaries.
Sarah is active in the wider legal community, serving as a fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a national committee of peer-elected top estate planning lawyers. She also serves on the Washington State Bar Association’s Real Property Probate and Trust Executive Committee and Sarah is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events.
Highly engaged in philanthropic work in the local community, Sarah is a member of the Seattle Children's Philanthropic Advisory Council and the community board for Seattle Children's Hospital Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis Program. She is also the co-founder and president of the nonprofit Butterfly Guild of Seattle Children's Hospital, which aims to fund research to support better treatments and a cure for children with bone marrow failure.
