Sam Carl has been involved in many stages of litigation, including discovery, invalidity analysis, and pleadings and complex motions, and has experience researching complicated legal issues. Her experience also encompasses various technologies, such as liveness detection and networking technologies across the gaming industry.
Sam earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property law. She was a Perkins Coie summer associate with the firm’s Patent Litigation practice in 2022. Additionally, she gained experience as a patent prosecution summer associate with a business litigation firm, where she conducted legal research and drafted patent applications. Prior to law school, Sam received her B.S. in mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
