Rodger has devoted nearly 25 years to client service, always striving to gain a deep understanding of each client's business and individual intellectual property needs.

Rodger Carreyn has extensive experience litigating and prosecuting patents and other intellectual property (IP), which has led to extraordinary litigation success and the development and enforcement of ironclad patent portfolios. He has won several high-stakes patent, trademark, trade dress, and antitrust cases before federal courts and the International Trade Commission—at trial and on summary judgment—for both IP holders and accused infringers. He also has a stellar record representing petitioners and patent holders in inter partes reviews and reexaminations before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Beyond litigation, Rodger counsels companies on various IP matters, including the establishment, development, and maintenance of U.S. and foreign patent portfolios. He also analyzes third-party patents for validity and infringement concerns and performs IP due diligence related to patent licensing and mergers and acquisitions.

Rodger has experience in various technological areas, including mechanical engineering, civil engineering, medical devices, consumer goods, telecommunications, semiconductors, electrical engineering, software, internet, X-ray imaging, and optics. In particular, he has worked extensively with companies specializing in lighting (LEDs, theater lighting, etc.), composite design, sporting goods, and uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs).
