Paula has more than 30 years of experience helping individuals and families plan and administer their estates.
Exceedingly knowledgeable of California's unique issues, Paula Leibovitz Goodwin takes into account the state's high income taxes, property tax rules, and community property structure, along with the federal estate and gift tax, when helping her clients structure their estate plans. Paula emphasizes preventing conflict in the next generation and keeping families intact. Many of Paula's clients have relied upon her personalized counsel and guidance for more than a decade, a reflection of the depth of Paula's dedication to clients and practice excellence.
Paula's estate planning practice includes preparing trusts, wills, power of attorneys, retirement and life insurance beneficiary forms, and federal gift tax return preparation. Her decedent administration practice includes postmortem trust administration, probates, and federal estate tax return preparation. Paula has also counseled high-profile clients on successful charitable and lifetime gift planning.
Paula taught income tax of property transactions to accountants and lawyers for more than 15 years in the graduate program at Golden Gate University. She has served as president of the Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley and the East Bay Estate Planning Council. Paula regularly speaks on estate planning and the estate and gift tax.
