Nicole Searing
An authority on estate and nonprofit matters, Nicole takes a practical approach in guiding individuals through estate planning decisions and tax-exempt organizations through formation and operations.
Nicole counsels individuals, families, and their advisors on estate planning, tax matters, trust and probate administration, and philanthropic planning. She plans and prepares tax-efficient wills and trusts; advises on entity formations; helps clients use gifts, sales, and other wealth-transfer strategies; and settles estates in probate.
In addition, Nicole has a strong focus on nonprofit law, counseling public charities, private foundations, and other tax-exempt organizations on a broad range of issues under state and federal law. She assists nonprofit organizations to establish and maintain their corporate structures, guides them through the process of obtaining tax-exempt status, and advises on compliance and governance matters.
