An authority on estate and nonprofit matters, Nicole takes a practical approach in guiding individuals through estate planning decisions and tax-exempt organizations through formation and operations.
Nicole Searing counsels individuals, families, and their advisors on estate planning, tax matters, trust and probate administration, and philanthropic planning. She plans and prepares tax-efficient wills and trusts; advises on entity formations; helps clients use gifts, sales, and other wealth-transfer strategies; and settles estates in probate.
In addition, Nicole has a strong focus on nonprofit law, counseling public charities, private foundations, and other tax-exempt organizations on a broad range of issues under state and federal law. She assists nonprofit organizations to establish and maintain their corporate structures, guides them through the process of obtaining tax-exempt status, and advises on compliance and governance matters.
