Nick Franzen counsels a variety of clients on the acquisition, financing, and disposition of real property. He drafts and negotiates leases, purchase and sale agreements, covenants, and easements; conducts due diligence; advises on title and survey issues and title insurance; and manages closings.
Nick handles a variety of complex transactions, including sale-leasebacks, ground leases, option agreements, mergers and acquisitions involving real estate, and parcel swaps. He has significant experience representing homebuilders on financing, due diligence, and acquisition of land.
Nick has a track record of successfully representing major clients, including multiple sellers in two large urban land assemblage transactions, a Fortune 500 company in its $1 billion acquisition of a logistics company and its real estate assets, a multinational corporation in connection with due diligence and site acquisition, and a housing developer in a complex multiphase site acquisition.
Nick maintains an active pro bono practice that ranges from negotiating a build-to-suit lease for a food bank to representing a community center in its acquisition and financing of a new property.
