Nancy Cruz

Nancy assists developers, private offtakers, and public utilities with power and renewable energy development transactions, including project development, power purchase, and offtake agreements.

Nancy Cruz advises clients on state and federal regulatory compliance and permitting matters in the energy sector, including matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and several state public utility commissions, including the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and the Iowa Utilities Board.

Bilingual in both Spanish and English, Nancy volunteers with community organizations that support and protect immigrant communities in Wisconsin. Committed to maintaining an active pro bono practice, she has represented a criminal defendant and an indigent petitioner in a civil suit on appeal, appearing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. While in law school, Nancy was a clinical student with the Immigrant Justice Clinic, where she represented asylum applicants and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.
