Mike Norton, Ph.D.

Informed by his background in quantitative social science and policy, Mike takes an interdisciplinary approach to client challenges, providing insightful counsel in various legal fields.

Mike Norton advises clients on complex investigations, commercial litigation, white-collar defense, and compliance counsel. Mike has the distinction of being both a Harry S. Truman scholar and a Marshall scholar, earning his Ph.D. at the University of Oxford before earning his J.D. at Stanford Law School. He also serves as a judge advocate general (JAG) officer in the U.S. Army Reserve at the 440th Civil Affairs Battalion out of Fort Carson.

Mike maintains an active and broad pro bono practice, where he has helped indigent clients with criminal expungement, eviction defense, voter protection, and asylum issues.

Before joining Perkins Coie, he worked for the ranking member on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, at the White House Domestic Policy Council, and as the deputy voter protection director for a presidential campaign in Arizona.
