Max is a seasoned clean energy lawyer with global experience across the full lifecycle of wind, solar, battery storage, and geothermal renewable energy projects.
With a strong background in energy project development, permitting, financing, construction, and operations, Max Friedman advises on complex M&A transactions, joint ventures, power purchase agreements, tax equity structures, environmental due diligence, intellectual property licensing, and regulatory compliance.
Max has led cross-functional legal teams of internal and external counsel, managing everything from federal leasing and auction participation to stakeholder engagement, contract negotiation and enforcement, tax credit strategy, and project permitting at federal, state, and local levels. He also oversees litigation and settlement strategies for disputes involving U.S.-based wind and solar projects. A trusted adviser and skilled negotiator, Max balances commercial priorities with legal risk mitigation and governance.
