Matthew A. Klomparens
Matt Klomparens focuses his practice on structuring, negotiating and documenting business transactions, including venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
He advises startup companies in life sciences, technology, and consumer products and industry sectors regarding corporate governance, intellectual property strategy, seed fundraising, and other organizational matters.
Matt regularly serves as outside counsel to a number of small- to mid-market companies in connection with debt and equity financings, commercial contracts, executive compensation, regulatory compliance and routine corporate labor, and employment matters.
In his pro bono practice, Matt frequently works with Lawyers for the Creative Arts to help underserved Chicagoans form businesses and nonprofit organizations negotiate intellectual property licensing agreements and navigate regulatory compliance issues.
