Maria Trubetskaya earned their J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, with a focus in critical race studies. Maria graduated with pro bono distinction and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. During law school, they served as the co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Environmental Law & Policy and a staff editor for the Indigenous Peoples’ Journal of Law, Culture, and Resistance. Maria was also a future of food fellow in the inaugural Future Food Fellows Program, a member of the UCLA Moot Court Honors Board, and a student co-chair of the Race, Work, and Economic Justice Pro Bono Project. They are fluent in Russian.
In 2024, Maria was a summer associate at Perkins Coie’s Los Angeles office.
