Kyle Nelson
Kyle Nelson is an experienced labor and employment litigator who successfully defends clients against all types of labor and employment claims, including alleged claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
In his litigation practice, he enforces and defends against claims of unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract (nondisclosure, noncompete, nonsolicit).
Kyle is an advisor to national and local clients on policy drafting and employee discipline, noncompete, leave, wage-and-hour, employee classification, and accommodation issues. He provides pragmatic and thorough advice to his clients.
Maintaining a class action defense practice, Kyle focuses on early case assessment and development of evidence to defeat class certification. He also works to develop technology-aided resources to assist clients in large-scale document compilation and review in class action matters. Relying on his class action litigation experience, Kyle advises clients on wage-and-hour compliance issues to head off class action litigation.
Kyle graduated first in his class from Gonzaga University School of Law, where he served as an associate editor for the Gonzaga Law Review and as a member of the Moot Court National Trial Team. While earning his J.D., Kyle was also a legal extern for the Hon. Edward F. Shea of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
