Kristine Farmer, Ph.D., serves as director of Texas offices and purchasing at Ashurst Perkins Coie, where she leads legal operations for the Austin and Dallas offices and plays a key role in redesigning purchasing and strategic sourcing processes to deliver operational improvements aligned with the firm’s business objectives.
Kristine’s experience spans legal operations, purchasing, procurement, and strategic sourcing, with a proven track record in budget management, strategic planning, and process improvement. She leverages extensive experience gained as a litigation consulting analyst in applying social science research to jury selection and mock trial projects, and as a senior paralegal, supporting privacy and data security disputes, patent litigation, and commercial litigation matters.
A committed educator, Kristine has served as an adjunct professor in criminal justice and legal and paralegal studies at the University of North Texas, Dallas College El Centro Campus, and University of Arkansas, Pulaski Technical College, where she taught courses such as computer crime, organized crime, criminology, criminal justice ethics, trial practice, and law office technology.
Kristine is recognized for her outstanding leadership in the legal community. She previously represented the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Paralegals as Approval Commission Representative. Kristine’s commitment to advancing the profession is evident in her long-standing service to the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc., including roles as former president, national leadership training coordinator, and board advisor. She is also a former president of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Area Paralegal Association. She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and the Association for Talent Development.
