Kaycee May Royer

Kaycee May Royer has represented clients in a wide variety of environmental and natural resource matters including constitutional and administrative litigation in federal and state courts.

She has counseled clients in cases involving the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Forest Management Act, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Water Act.

Kaycee's work also includes advising municipal, industrial, agribusiness, energy, forestry, utility, and mining clients on general environmental law matters, real estate issues, permitting, regulatory compliance, and other matters. She is well-versed in Idaho and Nevada water rights serving the needs of both industrial and mining clients in those states.

While earning her J.D. from the University of Idaho, Kaycee worked in Washington, D.C., as a legislative intern for the National Water Resources Association, conducting a research project on federal financing of water infrastructure projects. In law school, she also helped plan and organize the 2017 Idaho Law Review Symposium, which focused on the issues surrounding livestock grazing on public lands in the West. Kaycee is licensed to practice law in Idaho, Nevada, and California. Since becoming licensed in Idaho, she has played an active role in the Environment & Natural Resources Law Section of the Idaho State Bar—and is currently serving as the chairperson of the section.
