Kathrine Cramer
Katie Cramer counsels leading technology companies, global brands, and top advertising technology companies on consumer privacy matters.
Katie finished law school and joined Perkins Coie just as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force and has dedicated her practice to helping companies make sense of evolving laws and legal principles. She focuses in particular on state consumer privacy laws, Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act, newer state laws governing "consumer health data," and counseling on children's privacy issues.
In addition, Katie routinely works on advertising technology matters, helping clients positioned across the entire ad tech ecosystem develop practical privacy compliance and product development plans. Katie prioritizes bringing a business perspective to her legal work, leaning on the MBA she earned concurrently with her JD. Katie helps clients prepare privacy policies, consumer-facing disclosures, and internal privacy governance plans, and drafts and negotiates commercial agreements for transactions involving complex data issues, as well as data protection addendums.
