Gabriel is experienced in handling complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts.

Gabriel Tong focuses on business litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. He has experience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing discovery in complex cases, taking and defending depositions, and arguing high-stakes motions. Gabriel has secured favorable outcomes for his clients, including some of the nation’s largest companies, in product liability actions, business-related disputes, and insurance recovery matters. 

Gabriel maintains an active pro bono practice. Recently, he contributed to a successful brief before the Supreme Court of the United States, defeating a motion to enjoin a city ordinance prohibiting the sale of assault weapons.

Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Gabriel was a judicial extern to the Hon. Michael A. Forti and the Hon. James P. Murphy at the Circuit Court of Cook County, where he drafted legal memorandums and court opinions. Before law school, he was a neuroscience researcher at Stanford University, where he co-authored and published five scientific journal articles.
