Jelani Shelton has experience handling U.S. Patent and Trademark Office actions and U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings. He advises clients on trademark clearance and risk assessment for company and product names and assists in the management of international and domestic trademark portfolios.
Jelani maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting nonprofit organizations with trademark needs and providing expungement and record clearing assistance.
While earning his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, Jelani served on the National Black Law Students Association as the national director of programming and events, and as the director of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the Student Bar Association.
