Jared Padway
Jared Padway is an environmental and energy lawyer in the firm's Environmental & Natural Resources practice group.
Jared has experience advising regulated utility clients through the development and permitting process for generation and transmission projects, including successfully assisting a utility client seeking approval to construct, own, and operate over 1,000 megawatts (MW) of new solar generation projects across the state of Wisconsin. Jared also has significant litigation experience in state and federal district and appellate courts in proceedings arising on administrative appeal.
Jared also counsels clients on complex regulatory issues across various industries. He has counseled clients regarding compliance issues under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA), and other major energy and environmental statutes. In his transactional practice, Jared has helped businesses identify and structure commercial solutions to environmental, health, and safety risks arising from corporate mergers, acquisitions, financings, and real estate investments.
In his active pro bono practice, Jared works with the Eviction Defense Project, where he represents tenants facing eviction in initial proceedings and negotiations with landlords.
