Janet M. Howe
Janet's practice involves assisting clients with all phases of general commercial litigation and state and federal environmental regulatory compliance.
She has experience with complex environmental litigation, state and federal permitting, water law, and insurance recovery. Janet also maintains an active pro bono practice. She has represented clients in immigration court and in the Arizona Court of Appeals. Janet's diverse experiences fuel her ability to understand and respond to a wide variety of client needs.
Prior to joining the firm, Janet clerked for Judge David G. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and Arizona Supreme Court Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer. During law school, Janet was a managing editor of the Arizona Law Review and a member of the National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition Team. She also represented veterans in the Veterans Advocacy Law Clinic, advocated for individuals with disabilities while working for the Arizona Center for Disability Law, externed for the Tucson Immigration Court, and was a 2016 summer associate at Perkins Coie.
Prior to attending law school, Janet worked in Hawaii as an office manager/bookkeeper for a midsized concrete contractor and as a business manager for a K-12 charter school. In 2010, she received a master's degree in global leadership and sustainable development with a certificate in environmental policy. This multidisciplinary program involved advanced study in business, organizational change, sustainability, global relations, and environmental policy.
