Heather provides practical guidance on complex commercial transactions, technology. and intellectual property licensing, and privacy and data protection matters. 

Heather Karell’s practice involves licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic counseling for clients ranging from emerging companies to public corporations. She works with entities in the technology, energy, life sciences, software, internet, communications, retail, and advertising industries. 

Heather provides pragmatic advice and counseling on issues related to the development, licensing, and commercialization of technology; strategic alliances and joint ventures; outsourcing and procurement; manufacturing, supply, and distribution arrangements; and advertising and marketing strategies. Clients benefit from her extensive experience structuring and negotiating collaboration, development, supply, distribution, license, and service agreements. Heather also frequently advises clients on intellectual property and technology issues arising in the context of strategic transactions.
