Evan Davis

Evan Davis advises clients in the technology, consumer products, retail, and video gaming industries on varied privacy and data protection matters.

Evan has extensive experience managing privacy compliance projects and teams, providing product counseling, and researching and assessing privacy risks. He also has deep experience conducting privacy impact assessments, drafting privacy notices, responding to privacy incidents, managing internal and regulatory investigations, and drafting agreement privacy provisions.

Evan regularly advises on children's privacy and safety regulations, including the following:

  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
  • Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA)
  • California Age-Appropriate Design Code (CA AADC)
  • UK Age-Appropriate Design Code (UK AADC)
  • Irish DPC Fundamentals for a Child-Oriented Approach to Data Processing.

Evan also counsels clients on compliance with various state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Evan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Evan was in-house counsel in the privacy office of a prominent technology company, and a senior associate at a V25 law firm, where he worked on privacy, technology, and financial regulatory inquiries, in addition to patent litigation.
