Elizabeth is a technology and privacy lawyer with a strong background in immersive technology.

Elizabeth Mendoza advises companies on issues relating to privacy, data security, technology licensing, Internet of Things, e-commerce, social media, and technology-related mergers and acquisitions. She counsels entrepreneurs, startups, and large companies on the review and implementation of sound privacy and security practices. In addition, she drafts online terms of use and privacy policies, negotiates intellectual property licensing agreements, and assists in different phases of technology transactions. 

Currently the co-lead of the Immersive Technology industry group, Elizabeth was the 2017 Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Fellow at Perkins Coie. During her fellowship, Elizabeth researched the emerging legal issues arising from the proliferation of artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) products, including issues related to privacy, automated decision-making, algorithmic discrimination, algorithmic collusion, and ML product liability. 

Following law school, Elizabeth clerked for the Hon. Richard C. Tallman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
