Doris Alvarez-Reyes

Doris Alvarez-Reyes represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation in state and federal courts.

Her practice focuses on commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, and receivership litigation. A core part of Doris' practice includes representing and counseling internet, technology, and social media companies in privacy matters under the Stored Communications Act (SCA), the Communications Decency Act (CDA), and the First Amendment.

In addition, Doris maintains an active pro bono practice. She has assisted in representing a pro bono client on death row in Texas in federal post-conviction proceedings. She has also represented a survivor of human trafficking in seeking post-conviction relief.

Doris was previously a summer associate at Perkins Coie. She earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, where she served as chief research editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review. Doris received first honors awards for earning the highest grade in several classes, including Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy. She also earned the Outstanding First Year Brief Award for authoring the best brief in her 1L section and received membership into the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society.
