Dana M. Svendsen
Dana represents clients throughout the United States in matters involving workplace health and safety, regulatory compliance, incident response, workplace investigations, and enforcement defense.
Dana Svendsen's experience includes advising clients on the requirements of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Dana is skilled in her representation of general industry, construction, and mining clients. Her work, which includes investigations and litigation, has involved issues arising out of serious workplace injuries, amputations, and fatalities. Dana has represented clients in OSHA and MSHA civil and criminal enforcement actions and whistleblower claims. She applies her significant knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other state and federal safety and health regulations when advising and defending her clients. Dana also regularly provides compliance trainings for client companies and drafts handbooks, policies, and other employment agreements.
A former civil engineer for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Dana brings to her practice both deep technical knowledge and a strategic perspective on workplace health and safety matters.
