Chukwuma Offor

Chuma Offor is a real estate associate in Perkins Coie's Chicago office.

He has a broad range of real estate experience with a focus on leasing, financing, and dispositions and acquisitions. Chuma has negotiated complex office, retail, and industrial leases for landlords and national tenants across the country; represented landlords in drafting and negotiating a telecommunication license agreement; represented commercial lenders in negotiating and closing multimillion-dollar loan transactions; and negotiated complex purchase and sale agreements for buyers and sellers (including multiple sale leaseback transactions).

Chuma received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he graduated cum laude, and with an honors distinction in the area of real estate. As a law student, Chuma worked with the UW Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic, where he advised entrepreneurs and startups on a variety of legal matters. He also volunteered for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), where he provided free income tax return preparation services qualified individuals in his local community. Chuma also served on the executive board of his law school's Black Law Students Association.

Chuma received his B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he double majored in finance, investment, and banking, and management and human resources. During his undergraduate studies, Chuma competed as a member of the University of Wisconsin football team where he was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honors recipient.
