Caleb helps a wide variety of clients protect their IP both inside and outside of the courtroom.

Caleb Bacos provides guidance to clients in the technology, gaming, retail, and food industries on strengthening and defending their brands. As a litigator, he handles trademark, copyright, advertising, and related disputes in federal and state courts—including appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit—and represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Caleb also manages comprehensive IP enforcement programs for companies of all sizes, conducting investigations, working with foreign counsel, and removing infringing content through Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedowns and Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) complaints.

Caleb advises clients on IP, marketing, and product-development matters, with a focus on interactive entertainment and other technology-driven businesses. He drafts and negotiates licensing, brand partnership, and data privacy agreements, and counsels marketing and product teams on AI, claim substantiation, and other regulatory considerations or risks associated with new digital experiences. He leverages AI tools, when appropriate, to deliver efficient solutions for clients operating in dynamic industries.

Caleb maintains a robust pro bono practice, assisting clients with trademark, copyright, immigration, employment, and other legal matters.

Defended trade dress and trademark infringement claims on functionality and fair use grounds in multiple jurisdictions related to tool used in automotive industry. Successfully settled.

Lincare Holdings v. Doxo 

U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida
Defended Doxo against trademark infringement claims. After a vigorous defense, the case was favorably settled on the eve of trial.

Asthetic Eye v. Alderwood (PI)

Defeated preliminary injunction motion related to use of ALLURE mark in connection with medi-spa and related services before case was transferred to carrier panel counsel.
