Buke is a Patent Litigation associate experienced in both plaintiff- and defense-side litigation across various technologies ranging from semiconductor devices to mechanical structure.
A. Buke Hiziroglu has been involved in many stages of patent litigation, including discovery, infringement and invalidity analysis, pleadings, and complex motions. She also has experience with Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings and litigating design patents.
Buke earned her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, where she served as articles editor of Michigan State Law Review and launched the online edition of the law review, MLSR Forum, as co-chair of the journal's online platform committee. Prior to law school, Buke earned her B.S. in electrical engineering, magna cum laude, from Kettering University, during which she was an electrical engineering co-op with Terumo Cardiovascular Group. She went on to earn her M.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where she gained extensive knowledge in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and semiconductor device fabrication and defended her thesis entitled, “High-Throughput Microfluidic Cell Pairing and Monitoring for the Studies of Cancer Cellular Cannibalism.”
Buke was a summer associate at Perkins Coie in 2020 and 2021. She also was a judicial extern for the Honorable David W. McKeague of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and a part-time law clerk at a Detroit-based boutique intellectual property law firm.
