Bruce E. Dick

Bruce has been practicing business law for more than 30 years, with a focus on companies involved in energy or technology industries. His experience across this blend of industries helps his clients stay abreast of the most relevant legal topics for their business.

Representing independent power producers and utilities in the United States and internationally in the energy sector, Bruce Dick's experience involves counseling clients regarding conventional and renewable energy projects, including geothermal, recovered energy, solar and wind projects. In addition, his energy industry work includes drafting and negotiating:

  • Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts
  • Power purchase agreements

  • Represented the contractor/lender regarding the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract and the vendor project finance agreements for geothermal repowering projects in New Mexico and Utah.
  • Represented the lender in connection with the financing of a wind energy project in Washington.
  • Represented developer/contractor on Nevada solar project asset purchase agreement and EPC contract.
  • Represented the developer/contractor regarding EPC contracts with public and private utility companies for recovered energy power projects in Minnesota, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington.
  • Represented the contractor in connection with EPC contracts for geothermal projects in California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada and Utah.
  • Represented a Midwest electric and gas utility on the sale of a portion of its electric and gas distribution assets to utility company purchasers.
  • Represented energy company in connection with a joint venture and related construction and supply contracts for an energy storage facility in Texas.
