Brendan J. Peters

Brendan uses his architectural experience and 25 years of building-industry knowledge to help clients with complex construction and design transactions and disputes.

Brendan Peters advises clients about building projects, annually negotiates hundreds of millions of dollars in sophisticated design and construction contracts, and has litigated and arbitrated some of the largest transportation and infrastructure disputes in the Pacific Northwest.

Brendan represents a broad range of clients, including public and private building owners, technology companies, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and product suppliers. He also assists clients with real estate disputes and general commercial litigation. Brendan’s construction-related experience includes e-commerce facilities; data centers; chip fabs; green and sustainable buildings; nuclear, wind, solar, and hydroelectric energy projects; healthcare; schools and universities; processing plants; design-build and EPC projects; aerospace; sports venues; hotels and resorts; modular housing; and condominium and residential projects.

In his prior career as an architect, Brendan worked in all phases of design and construction on complex commercial, civic, and residential projects. Certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and a member of the American Institute of Architects, Brendan is also a Construction Specifications Institute Construction Documents Technologist and a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. 

Before joining the firm, Brendan served as a law clerk to the then-chief federal district court judge in Seattle. Brendan taught construction law for over a decade as an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law.
