Brandon Thompson has experience working closely with various bureaus, trade associations, and businesses to interpret and enforce the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA), Truth in Caller ID Act, TRACED Act, and other rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
He has coordinated with state attorneys general, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on numerous federal enforcement actions.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Brandon was an attorney advisor in the Attorney Honors Program at the FCC. He has also worked as a law clerk at Johnson & Bell, Ltd, where he participated in labor and employment and medical malpractice litigation. Brandon is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has authored published articles on the Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology System (HART) and biometric data privacy.
