Ashlin Turner
Ashlin Turner is a technical advisor in the firm's Intellectual Property practice, with a focus on patent prosecution. Ashlin's background includes work in biologics discovery, natural product mining, genetic engineering, structural biology, bioinformatics analysis of next generation sequencing data, protein engineering, and high-throughput combinatorial libraries.
Ashlin has a Ph.D. from the University of Queensland in molecular biology, where her work focused on novel biologics discovered from Monoplex spp. She earned a B.S. in marine biology and B.A. in marine biology and chemistry from University of Hawaii, Hilo. She also taught undergraduate biology and mentored multiple undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Texas, Austin.
