Arnav Joshi has more than 12 years of experience as a trusted adviser to global technology companies, financial institutions and policymakers on privacy, data protection, cyber security, digital regulation, AI, and tech public policy. He counsels clients on the full lifecycle of European and UK law, including policy advocacy, compliance programs, product counselling, and regulatory engagement.
In recent years, Arnav has led mandates covering the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Data Act, EU AI Act, the Children’s Code, Online Safety Act, and NIS2. He also regularly advises clients on international personal data breaches.
In 2021, Arnav was included in the Global Data Review “40 under 40,” which profiles the best and the brightest young talent of the data law bar around the world. He is noted as a Band 1 Key Practitioner in Legal 500, and as a Rising Star in the Global Data Review and IFLR1000.
Arnav is a member of the OECD's Expert Group on AI, Data and Privacy, the City of London Law Society's AI Committee, and chairs TechUK's AI and Data Analytics Leadership Committee. He regularly writes and speaks on the subject of technology governance and law, and was invited to testify before the UK Parliament on AI regulation in 2023.
