LONDON (September 19, 2025) - Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that its London office has won the Innovation in Training and Development category for the firm’s Legal Business Analyst Programme at the 2025 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards.

Perkins Coie’s Legal Business Analyst Programme provides an alternative pathway into the U.K. legal profession through a multidisciplinary cohort, offering holistic training across all sides of the firm – both legal and business. Winning the Financial Times’ Innovative Lawyers Europe Award for the programme underscores the firm’s deep commitment to reimagining the talent experience. The recognition reflects Perkins Coie’s innovative approach to creating new pathways into law, accelerating talent and delivering exceptional value to our clients.

“This award and recognition are a strong validation of our talent investment and vision for our London office,” said Ian Bagshaw, Perkins Coie’s London office managing partner. “Our Legal Business Analyst programme offers the opportunity to become a lawyer through the development of valuable commercial and technical skills that are not commonly available through a traditional pathway.”

Launched in 2024 with the opening of Perkins Coie’s London office, the Legal Business Analyst Programme has quickly become a cornerstone of the firm’s innovative approach to talent development. It equips early career professionals with a unique blend of skills to better serve clients and manage legal risks more effectively, as well as a gateway to Perkins Coie’s U.K. trainee solicitor program.

The firm’s London office has quickly grown to 40 lawyers and business professionals, leveraging the firm’s premier technology transactions practices, including with M&A transactions, to deliver U.S. tech advice to leading European technology companies. The firm is “along for the journey” with founders, private capital, and growth investors, helping to build the companies of tomorrow.
