Perkins Coie Partners and Practice Groups Ranked in the 2026 Chambers Global Guide

Bing Ai*, co-chair of the Post-Grant practice, who was recognized for his experience in patent procurement, patent strategies, and patent portfolio management in a wide range of technologies, including semiconductors; electronics; medical devices; and 3G, LTE/4G, and 5G wireless standard essential patents. He represents clients in patent disputes and conducts freedom-to-operate, patent validity, and infringement analyses.
Jan Andruško, partner and firmwide head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Europe, who has led landmark domestic deals and cross-border transactions throughout Central and Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on the technology, media, and telecommunications industries.
Veronica Ascarrunz, partner in the IP practice and chair of the firm's International Trade Commission (ITC) Section 337 Actions group, who was named for her litigation of complex patent, trademark, and trade secret matters in federal courts at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the ITC. She has secured successful outcomes for dozens of clients in ITC Section 337 investigations at all stages, from early resolution through trial and appeal. Veronica is the immediate past president of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association.
Robin Brewer, partner in the IP practice and member of the firm's ITC Section 337 Actions group, who represents technology companies in patent litigation before the federal courts, the ITC, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Robin's broad engineering background informs her counseling of clients in all areas of technology, and she has won favorable legal victories for key technology clients on critical issues before the ITC—victories that have become regularly cited precedent.
Miranda Cole, partner and European Union (EU) and United Kingdom Antitrust practice lead, who advises companies on transactional and behavioral matters and merger control; foreign direct investment and foreign subsidies reviews of mergers, acquisitions; abuse of dominance and anticompetitive agreements under Articles 101 and 102 TFEU and Chapters 1 and 2 of the U.K. Competition Act; technology transactions; digital regulation, including the EU Digital Markets Act and AI Act and the U.K. Digital Markets, Competition and Consumer Act.
Eric B Fjelstad, partner and leader of the firm’s Alaska environmental and resources representations. He represents clients in oil and gas, mining, project development, litigation, and strategic counseling for municipal and industrial projects. He defends companies against third-party and governmental claims and investigations brought under state and federal environmental laws.
Meredith Halama, co-chair of the Privacy & Security practice and chair of the Ad Tech practice, who was recognized for counseling clients on the full spectrum of consumer privacy issues, with a particular emphasis on targeted advertising, mobile advertising, data monetization, and related business practices. Her privacy work spans industries, and her clients include major technology platforms, wearable tech providers, brands, publishers, and streaming services, as well as advertising technology intermediaries.
Janis Kestenbaum, partner in the Privacy & Security practice, who was recognized for her successful track record representing both major corporations and startups in investigations by the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and foreign data protection authorities.
Jane Rueger, partner in the Environment & Natural Resources practice, who was recognized for her regulatory and litigation work in the electricity field, handling Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) litigation matters and representing power sector clients as part of her wider energy practice.
Jim Snell, privacy litigation partner who has guided companies through privacy, IP, and complex commercial disputes for decades. He was recognized as a leader in international privacy and data security litigation.
Jan Stejskal, partner in the Corporate practice who has transactional experience including corporate fundraisings, joint ventures, acquisitions, and private equity investments. He has represented clients in technology, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, real estate, and financial services.
Michael Wise, partner in the IP practice and chair of the firm's Life Sciences & Healthcare industry group, who was recognized for his IP work, including patent portfolio management and complex contested patent matters in the life sciences industry. He was recognized for his "Foreign Expert for China" and "Foreign Expertise Based Abroad in USA" in the rankings.
