Perkins Coie Mourns the Passing of our Colleague and Friend J. David Andrews

SEATTLE (October 28, 2019) - Perkins Coie announces with sadness the death of colleague and friend J. David Andrews on October 25, 2019.

Dave joined the firm in 1960 in the Labor & Employment practice after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law, and he was promoted to partner in 1968. Throughout his nearly 60-year career at Perkins Coie, Dave played an instrumental role in building our firm's national labor and employment practice. His practical counsel was sought after by major companies, emerging companies and nonprofits, school districts and numerous other public entities.

Dave also served as hiring chair in Seattle for many years and was personally responsible for hiring many of today's senior partners. He was also a generous mentor to many. Outside the firm, Dave served on the American Bar Association's Board of Governors, as Secretary/Treasurer of ABA, and on the boards of many civic and charitable organizations.

Dave was incredibly respected and admired by his colleagues and friends throughout the firm. He will be missed by all.
