Perkins Coie Congratulates Partner Tiffany Cunningham on Her Confirmation to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit

SEATTLE (July 19, 2021)—Perkins Coie is proud to congratulate Partner Tiffany Cunningham on her confirmation by the U.S. Senate to serve as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Tiffany was nominated to the court by President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

Tiffany has been a partner with the Intellectual Property practice and Patent Litigation subgroup in the Chicago office and has also been a member of the Firmwide Executive Committee. She focused her legal practice on complex patent and trade secret disputes and frequently served as trial and appellate counsel for Fortune 500 companies, small enterprises, and individuals. Tiffany has made numerous contributions to Perkins Coie, including chairing the Chicago Diversity Committee, serving on the Lateral Partner Committee, and helping to recruit 1L Diversity Fellows. She was also a member of the Associate & Counsel Evaluation Committee which provides recommendations on associate and counsel promotions.

Tiffany's extensive experience included representing clients through all phases of litigation, including trial and appeal in nationwide venues, including numerous district courts and the Federal Circuit. Her experience includes technologies related to chemical and pharmaceutical disciplines, biotechnology, computer science, automotive, and mechanical engineering. Tiffany is also a registered patent attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Tiffany was a clerk for Judge Timothy Dyk of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit from 2001 to 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
