LOS ANGELES (JUNE 13, 2022)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Patrick Anding has joined the firm's Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice as a partner in the Los Angeles and San Diego offices.

Patrick has over a decade of experience in private practice and provides legal counsel to emerging technology companies at all stages of their life cycles. His clients span a range of major industry sectors, including software and hardware technology, media, entertainment, consumer goods, life sciences, and health and wellness. He regularly provides legal guidance on matters related to corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital financings. Patrick counsels both early and late-stage private companies and serves as an outside general counsel to many of his clients.

"We're excited to add a veteran emerging companies and venture capital attorney of Patrick's caliber to our strong West Coast team and know our clients will benefit from Patrick's highly effective counsel," said Troy Foster, co-chair of the firm's Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice. "California remains a critical, high-growth market for startups and investors, and the depth of Patrick's practice further broadens the capabilities we can provide to companies looking to grow and scale."

Patrick also manages intellectual property and licensing matters, with a focus on digital and social media, emerging technologies, such as blockchain-based tokens and assets, and other data-intensive businesses. Having spent over a decade in the media and entertainment sectors prior to his legal career, Patrick has firsthand experience managing the challenging business issues that his clients in Los Angeles and beyond face in creative and emerging technology businesses.

"Los Angeles has long been a global media and entertainment center that now supports one of the largest startup ecosystems in the country, and we're thrilled to welcome Patrick to our Los Angeles office," said Perkins Coie's Los Angeles Office Managing Partner Jon Daryanani. "We continue to experience strong demand for our legal services backed by Perkins Coie's international platform and long experience advising entrepreneurs and innovative companies in major technology hubs like Seattle and Silicon Valley."
