Perkins Coie Advises Daring Foods in Acquisition by Australia’s v2food
PALO ALTO (August 18, 2025) - Perkins Coie is pleased to have advised Daring Foods, the leading unbreaded plant-based chicken brand in the U.S., in its acquisition by v2food, Australia's foremost plant-based meat company. The acquisition includes a strategic partnership with Japan-based ingredients company Ajinomoto Co.
Daring has quickly emerged as one of the foremost and fastest-growing brands operating in the alternative protein space. The acquisition will accelerate innovation in sustainable, health-forward protein solutions in North America and provide a new platform for plant-based food solutions to serve rising demand for sustainable protein alternatives.
The Perkins Coie Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) and Mergers & Acquisitions practice advisory team was led by partners Jason Schneiderman and Arian Galavis and also included associates Jake Hays and Haley Chapa. The firm previously advised Daring on its Series A, B, and C rounds.
