FTC Announces Proposed Ban on Noncompete Agreements

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently announced its proposal of a new rule that would ban employers from imposing noncompete agreements on their workers and invalidate existing noncompetes currently in effect. The FTC stated the rule would affect 30 million, or one in five, American workers currently covered by a noncompete agreement.
