This panel will explore the evolving landscape of regional sports media rights, including regional sports networks (RSNs), as well as over-the-air (OTA) broadcast and direct-to-consumer (DTC) offerings. 

Panelists will discuss innovative distribution models, legal complexities, strategic considerations for reaching local audiences, and balancing traditional revenue streams with the need to build audiences and monetization models.

  • Negotiating agreements for OTA broadcast of live games to extend reach
  • Advising on renewal of carriage agreements with pay TV platforms for regional sports networks airing professional and collegiate games
  • Structuring companion deals for DTC streaming apps to deliver live games in local markets
