Pride Month - A Conversation with LZ Granderson
As we celebrated Pride Month this June, Perkins Coie invited us to join A Conversation With LZ Granderson. LZ—a Los Angeles Times OpEd columnist, ABC political contributor and ESPN radio host shared his journey from being in the closet while growing up in a rough neighborhood in Detroit to becoming one of the most visible, openly gay men working in sports today. This candid and lively discussion covered topics such as race, parenting, politics, and more. Host of the recently launched ABC podcast "Life Out Loud with LZ Granderson", which focuses on the LGBTQ community, this award-winning journalist was just named top columnist by the California News Publisher's Association and is a member of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Hall of Fame. His insight after two decades in journalism—with much of it focused on social justice issues—sparked dialogue that went beyond the confines of this special event.
