Emerging Topics in Energy – Environmental Justice, Renewables and Infrastructure

During its 2020-21 Session, the Virginia General Assembly enacted the Virginia Clean Energy Act and a host of bills impacting various aspects of renewable energy resource development. At the same time, the Federal Infrastructure Bill is pending before Congress and environmental justice considerations are increasingly front and center in utility regulation and energy infrastructure permitting proceedings. Legislators and on-the-ground practitioners discussed these federal and state developments and the ramifications thereof.
